Ross Grange To Meet Sept. 9
FALCONER – The Ross Grange will meet Sept. 9 at the Falcon’s Nest Banquet Hall for a dish to share lunch at 12:30 p.m. Those attending should bring an item to share their family history for the program. The annual baking contest, pumpkin bread will be held. It can be diabetic or traditional recipe. The loaf should be on a disposable plate and include the recipe. No nuts or extras should be added. Beverages and table settings will be provided. All interested are welcome to attend.

History Fair To Include Parade Sept. 14
SINCLAIRVILLE – The village of Sinclairville is holding a parade in conjunction with the annual History Fair on Sept. 14. Line up begins at 9 a.m. at the Sinclairville Elementary School and step off is at 10 a.m. The village is looking for participants to march in the parade and anyone is welcome to join in. Boys, Girls Club To Begin Youth Swim Lessons
The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls of Jamestown will host its next session of swim lessons from Sept. 17 through Nov. 9. The club uses the Red Cross system of progressive instruction for beginner to advanced swimmers with placement in classes that encourage and support each child’s efforts and abilities. The classes are for ages 5 and up. The eight-week swim lesson registration fee is $40 per participant. A Boys & Girls Club membership is also required and available for $25 for one full year of membership. Swim lessons are scheduled one day/week for 45-minute. Educators of NY Annual Meeting Announcement 2024
WEST SENECA – The Western Zone of Retired Educators of New York will hold its 75th annual meeting and luncheon Sept. 18 at The Columns Banquet Facility, Alton’s, Transit Road, West Seneca. The keynote speaker is Craig Gestring, Chief White Collar Crime Division, US Attorney’s Office, Western District, who will speak on “Crimes That Target Seniors.” Also, there will be more than 25 exhibitors and vendors that will focus on improving the life of retirees. The Retired Educators of New York is an organization of educators whose purpose is to support the needs of retired educators as well as those teachers who are presently in the classroom through assistance grants. The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities has rescheduled its September board meeting to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30. The board meets monthly in the board room of the BPU’s Operations Center, 92 Steele St., Jamestown.
