To Host Public Hearing Aug. 28

BEMUS POINT – A public hearing on the acquisition of electric school buses and equipment for the buses will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, in the Bemus Point Elementary School cafeteria, 41 Liberty St., Bemus Point. For more information visit bemusptcsd.org

Rabies Clinic To Be Held Aug. 28

SHERMAN – The Chautauqua County Health Department will host a rabies clinic from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Sherman town offices, 111A Mill St. Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats, and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older. Pre-registration is required and should be submitted online by visiting HealthyCHQ.com/Rabies. There are a limited number of spots available, so pet owners should pre-register online as soon as possible. Those who register but decide not to attend the event are asked to cancel their appointment so the spot is available for another pet. Cancel appointments via the confirmation email received after registration. Walk-ins may be accepted toward the end of the clinic, but are not guaranteed.

JURA Board To Meet Thursday

The Jamestown Urban Renewal Agency board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the mayor’s conference room on the fourth floor of city hall. The public is welcome to attend.

Outdoor Club To Ride In Franklin Sunday

On Sunday, members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride or hike on the Samuel Justus Trail in Franklin, Pa. The group will meet in Warren by 1 p.m. at Musante Street, Warren, or at the Saltbox House on Route 322 across the Allegheny from Eighth Street in Franklin at 2:15 p.m. Linda Ross will be the organizer.

Audubon To Host First Sunday Story Time On Sept. 1

The Audubon Community Nature Center will host its monthly First Sunday Story Time on Sept. 1 from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Doors open at 12:20 p.m. The program is free as is Sunday building admission. After the stories, indoors and out, visit the live animals and enjoy the Nature Play Areas. Reservations for story time are requested by Saturday, Aug. 31. To reserve a space, call the Nature Center during open hours at 716-569-2345 or visit AudubonCNC.org and click through Programs and Events. Participation is limited to 15. Walk-ins are welcome if there is room.

Infinity Holiday Art Market Vendor Registration Is Now Open

Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Inc. is accepting vendors for its annual Holiday Art Market to be held Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Infinity Center and the Pearl City Clay House.
