Kennedy Free Library To Host Summer Reading Program Finale
KENNEDY – The final Kennedy Free Library summer reading program is Thursday at 10 a.m. with a performance by the Repco Wildlife Company. This program is open to the community as well as a visit by Off The Stick Ice Cream Truck. For more information call 716-267-4265.
Pastors to Host Discussion At Koinonia Fellowship
KIANTONE – “When Education Becomes an Idol” will be a featured topic of a pastors’ panel on Monday at 6: 30 p.m. at Koinonia Fellowship. Pastors on the panel include Ron Lemon of Koinonia Fellowship, Andy Frudd of Lakeview Community Church, Edwin Ramirez of Faith Bible in Randolph, Dan Soderberg of Impact Campus Fellowship, and Mel McGinnis of Kiantone Congregational Church. Those who attend will be given the opportunity to interact with the panel.
Camp Gross Golf Tourney Fundraiser Is August 31
CASSADAGA – The Dr. John R. and Alona Forbes Memorial Golf Tournament to benefit Camp Gross in Cassadaga will be held August 31 at the Cassadaga Country Club. The 18 hole, two-person scramble will begin at 9 a.m. Members ($75) and guests ($90) can sign up at the club or by calling 716-595-3003.Sponsorships are available and organizers are also accepting baskets/gift cards for the Chinese giveaway. The Camp Gross Foundation is a 501(c)3 corporation whose mission is to provide the youth of Chautauqua County and Western New York with a safe, handicapped-accessible, up-to-date, camping facility that is open year round. Prendergast Library Summer Reading Program Ends Aug. 31
The Prendergast Library’s summer reading program finale will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, with an ice cream party on the library’s patio. All are welcome to attend. There will be lawn games and prizes for those who participated in the summer reading program.
Registration Open For Striders’ Dan Feather Memoiral 5K
Chautauqua Striders is accepting registration for the annual Dan Feather Memorial 5K, which takes place at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at Bergman Park. The Dan Feather Memorial 5K honors the memory of Dan Feather, a dedicated community member and avid runner. Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Early registration is available online at runsignup.com/danielfeather5k. Proceeds from the event will support Chautauqua Striders’ athletic programming.
