Library To Hold Adventures In Ancestry Thursday

SINCLAIRVILLE – Adventures in Ancestry will be held at the Sinclairville Free Library on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. This free program is for ages 12 and up to explore genealogy and family history with an introduction to the online Ancestry program available to access inside the library. Books and tools for recording important information about ancestors will be explored, and each family will receive a copy of the Family Tree Organizer Book by Cynthia Craig on a first-come first-served basis as supplies are limited.

This program is made available through the sponsorship of NYSCOPBA at Lakeview and a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System’s Summer Reading Program Mini-Grant. The library is located at 15 Main Street in Sinclairville. Lakewood Library Hosts Adult Tie Dye Workshop

LAKEWOOD – A free adult tie-dye workshop will take place on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 11:30 a.m. at the Lakewood Library. Unleash your creativity and learn the art of tie-dyeing! Coffee & Cars Set For Saturday August 17

The Chautauqua Lake Region Club of the Antique Automobile Club of America (CLRAACA) will be hosting its Coffee & Cars gathering at the gazebo at McCrea’s Point on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 9-11 a.m., rain or shine. Come talk with car enthusiasts, see some interesting vehicles and enjoy coffee, donuts and conservation. The public is invited. All car enthusiasts are welcome.

Trump Boat Parade Set For August 18

A Trump boat parade will take place Aug. 18 on Chautauqua Lake in front of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. For more information call 716-969-3963. Up to 200 boats are expected.

Norden Women’s Club to Host Member-Guest Dinner

CELORON – The Norden Women’s Club will host a member-guest dinner on Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel in Celoron. Social hour begins at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 p.m. Men are welcome to attend. The program is “Lessons I Learned in the Land of the Vikings” by Matt Moore, president of TitanX.
