Tractor Supply Pet Adoption Event is Aug. 10

LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Tractor Supply is inviting customers to attend a pet adoption event on Aug. 10, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. “As an active advocate and supporter of pet rescue and adoption, Tractor Supply strives to inform our customers of the pet adoption process by providing a safe and comfortable space for placing adorable animals in welcoming homes,” said Gene Dombrowski, manager of the Lakewood Tractor Supply store. “Through this and other year-round adoption events, our goal at Lakewood store is to connect adoptable pets with interested owners.” The pet adoption event is open to the public and friendly, leashed pets. County Land Bank To Meet Aug. 14

MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Land Bank Corp. will hold its monthly board meeting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, in Room 331 of the Gerace Office Building, Mayville. Monthly meetings are conducted to discuss business associated with the land bank’s programs, acquisition and potential sale of property by the land bank and other official business as required. JHS Class Of 1963 Reunion Reservations Due August 15

The Jamestown High School Class of 1963 is planning its annual picnic, which will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at the YWCA lodge, 185 E. Terrace Ave., Lakewood. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. Those attending can bring their own beverages. The cost is a donation. Retreat Set

SINCLAIRVILLE – The “Women on Fire for CHRIST” retreat will be on Aug. 17 at Park Methodist Church in Sinclairville. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. The retreat is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be included in the price of $40 per person. The guest speaker is Eileen Banks from Rome, N.Y. and leader of the “Just Lean Ministry.” The first retreat took place in 2022 with 60 women attending.
