Cassadaga To Celebrate National Night Out
National Night Out in Cassadaga will be celebrated on Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 6-8 p.m. at the Johnny Fessenden Ballfields (driveway next to Cassadaga Cemetery.)
There is another event in Cassadaga that night and the parking for the Triathlon is close to Maple Avenue The ball fields are out that same road further back. There is lots of parking there.
First responders will be on hand to show off their equipment and answer questions. Currently expected for displays are the Cassadaga Volunteer Fire Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department and the New York State Police. Fire Guys Bounce House will return for the enjoyment of the children. An Ice Cream truck and hot dogs will also be available.

United Senior Council To Meet
LAKEWOOD – The United Senior Council’s next meeting will be on Thursday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m. Connie Whitman’s home at 321 Terrace Ave., Lakewood. Bring a dish to pass, table service and a wrapped prize for bingo. Drinks will be provided. All Chautauqua County senior residents are welcome to attend meetings. Hazeltine Library To Host Artmobile Aug 8
BUSTI – The Hazeltine Public Library will host the St. Bonaventure University ARTMOBILE program, “Leaves at the Library” on August 8 at 10:30 a.m. The program will start with a story and a poem about trees and the participants will learn about the seasons, how trees change during the year and how to create their own leaf rubbings. The program is free and open to everyone. The event will be held in the Community Building at the library. Seating is limited so reservations are appreciated and can be made by calling the library at 716-487-1281. The library is participating in the YMCA Summer lunch program; participants are welcome to remain after the program and enjoy their lunch. When making a program reservation, let library officials know if the group will be staying for lunch that day. The Hazeltine Public Library is located at 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road and offers handicapped accessibility and off-street parking. The library is also a member of the Chautauqua Cattaraugus Library System.
Hospice To Host Golf Tourney
Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care will host its Hole Out for Hospice Golf Tournament Friday, Aug. 9, at Chautauqua Golf Club in partnership with Howard Hanna Holt Real Estate. “At CHPC, we believe everyone deserves compassionate care and support during challenging times,” says Mike Testa, CEO of CHPC. “The Hole Out for Hospice Golf Tournament is a fantastic opportunity to raise critical funds while fostering a spirit of community.
