Broiler Processing Workshop To Be Held In July
The SWNY Dairy, Livestock, and Field Crops Program will host a broiler processing workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, at Green Heron Growers, 2361 Wait Corners Road, Panama. All who are interested in raising or are currently raising poultry for meat are welcome to register for this free event. Pre-registrations are required, as there is an attendee limit to ensure everyone can have a clear view of the demonstrations. St. Timothy Church To Host Movie Night
BEMUS POINT – St. Timothy Lutheran Church has a new big-screen TV and is hosting monthly movie nights. The next film to be shown is “Operation Mincemeat.” Hoping to change the course of World War II and save tens of thousands of lives, two intelligence officers plot to break Hitler’s grip on Europe by recruiting the most unlikely of secret agents: a dead man. The film will begin at 6:30 p.m. July 12. Those attending can bring any non-alcoholic drinks
Ross Mills Church To Host Jubilee event
FALCONER – The second annual Jubilee in the Mills will be held Friday, July 12, through Sunday, July 14, at the Ross Mills Church pavilion, 3843 E. Ross Mills Road, Falconer. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. July 12 and ends at noon July 14 and includes a weekend of worship, music, campfires and other activities. A full schedule is available on the Ross Mills Church Facebook page. Free overnight camping is optional. Food will be available for purchase throughout the weekend. Girl Scouts Looking For Retired Flags
The Girl Scouts of Western New York Horton Hill Day Camp will be holding a flag retirement ceremony as part of the campers closing activities on Friday, July 12. The camp is asking the community to donate retired flags to be respectfully burned in a ceremony planned and conducted by the Girl Scouts. Anyone with old flags can drop them off at the Girl Scout Service Center, 2661 Horton Road, Jamestown, in the box on the porch.
South Dayton To Host Tractor Pull
SOUTH DAYTON – On Saturday, July 13, at 1 p.m. at South Dayton Depot Rail and Movie Museum, Jace Wightman, a South Dayton resident, will give a presentation on trapping and trapping experiences. Wightman is sharing his own trapping history as part of the village’s Americana Summer. The event is free and light refreshments will be served. The Farmers’ Market is open from 9 to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Summer Music in the Gazebo is Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. During music, refreshments will be available. Those attending should bring lawn chairs for seating. Also Saturday, July 13, the South Dayton Firemen’s Tractor Pull starts at noon.. Pulled pork will be available and Sunday, July 14, the tractor pull starts at noon with a chicken barbecue available.
