Ellington Library Board To Meet Today

ELLINGTON – The Ellington Farman Library Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. today, July 29, in the library community room. The public is welcome to attend. The agenda and documents to be discussed at the monthly meeting can be requested from the library 24 hours prior to the open meeting. The Ellington Farman Library is located at 760 Thornton Road, Ellington. SINCLAIRVILLE – The Sinclairville Free Library announces the following “Adventure Begins at Your Library” summer reading program event to be held at the library on 15 Main St., Sinclairville. Adventure in Science will be held at 6 p.m. today featuring rocket science and an ice cream bar. Register by calling 716-962-5885 or emailing info@sinclairvillelibrary.org. All materials are provided. Program is for ages 6 and up. Younger children may participate with a parent/caregiver. Children who are registered for our Adventure Begins at Your Library Summer Reading Challenge will get to pick a jibbitz for attending this program. Funding for program and materials provided by Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System Summer Reading Mini Grant 2024.

Host STEM

Program Today

BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Library is offering the first of its STEM programs, for children in second through fifth grades, today at 4 p.m. Stephanie Nicks will demonstrate how to build a drawing robot. The children will be able to create artwork with their individual robots at the library and at home. Register by calling 716-386-2274.

Conservancy To Host Wine Event Wednesday

The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy will be holding a “Wine on the Trail” evening walk at its Bentley Nature Preserve at 2960 Bentley Ave., Jamestown, on Wednesday starting at 5:30 p.m. Participants are welcome to bring their own wine or other beverage to enjoy as they navigate through and learn about the preserve with Conservationist Carol Markham and Land Specialist Bethan O’Hagan. No fees or reservations are required.

Professionals Group To Meet July 31

WESTFIELD – The CHQ Professionals Group, formerly known as Northern Chautauqua Young Professionals, will host its Networking and Brand Kick-Off event Wednesday, July 31, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at When Pigs Fly BBQ Pit, 8254 1st Street, Westfield. There will be networking and light appetizers on the beach patio of When Pigs Fly BBQ Pit. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with fellow professionals and games of cornhole. A cash bar will also be available for those interested. The event is free and open to professionals of all ages. While reservations are not required, they are appreciated for planning purposes by visiting grco.de/CPGKick-Off.
