Mayville Senior Citizens To Meet

MAYVILLE – The Mayville Senior Citizens will meet Thursday at the VFW in Mayville at noon. It will be a hot dog picnic luncheon. Entertainment will be John Cross, who will be playing jazz tunes on his saxophone. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass. Everyone is welcome.

Dewittville Fire Auxiliary To Host Dinner July 18

DEWITTVILLE – The Dewittville Ladies Fire Auxiliary is hosting a smorgasbord dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the Dewittville Fire Hall, 5459 Route 430. The cost is $15 per dinner. Dinners include three different meats, hot and cold dishes, fresh fruits and salads. It ends with delicious homemade pies for dessert.

Hazeltine Library To Host Nature Program

BUSTI – The Hazeltine Public Library will host two free, open to all ages, nature programs. The first program will be July 18 at 10:30 a.m. The Audubon Community Nature Center will bring animals to the library; attendees will learn about animal habitats and be able to hold, pet and interact with them The next program will be August 8 at 10:30 a.m. and feature the ArtMobile from St. Bonaventure University. During their visit they will be showcasing leaves – including leaf rubbings, the seasonal changes in leaves and stories and poems about leaves. Both programs will be held in the library’s community building. Seating is limited. Reservations are requested by calling 716-487-1281. The Hazeltine Public Library is located at 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road, Busti. It is a member of the Chautauqua Cattaraugus Library System.

Asheville Library To Host Golden Age Of Flight Program July 19

ASHVILLE – The Ashville Public Library will host a program on the “Golden Age of Flight” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 19. Those attending can learn about some of the pioneers of flight while also building a model of the Spirit of Saint Louis flown by Charles Lindbergh. Those attending are asked to bring only a small box to use to carry the model home. Pre-registration is appreciated but not necessary. Prendergast Library To Host Movie Night

The James Prendergast Library will host a free movie night at 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 19, in the library’s Fireplace Room. No registration is required for the free program. The featured film will be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, rated PG.

Kiantone Church To Host Vacation Bible School

KIANTONE – Kiantone Congregational Church will host Breaker Rock Beach vacation Bible school Monday, July 22, through Thursday, July 25, from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. Classes are available for preschool through age 12.
