REPCO Wildlife Encounters To Visit Ellington Library July 15
ELLINGTON – Join REPCO Wildlife Encounters on Monday, July 15, at 2 p.m. in the Ellington Farman Library for a traveling zoo experience. The event includes reptiles, lizards, snakes and turtles in a free, hour-long program for all ages. No reservations are required. All children under 11 who attend will receive a free book on amphibians while supplies last. The Ellington Farman Library is located at 760 Thornton Road, Ellington. Continues Nature Study Program Mondays
SINCLAIRVILLE – The Sinclairville Library’s Nature Study with Brenda Nickerson will continue at 6 p.m. July 22, Aug. 12 and Aug. 26. Children will learn different art techniques (pencils, dry watercolor, flower pressing/leaf pounding, decoupage, etc.) to create a nature journal. Each registered child will receive a spiral bound journal to create their nature art. Journals will be kept at the library throughout the summer and taken home at the last event. Each session will teach a different art technique that can be used to “preserve” nature. Participation in all four sessions is recommended, but is not required. Registration is required. Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers To Meet July 16
LAKEWOOD – Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet on Tuesday, July 16, at 12:30 p.m. at the Lakewood American Legion building. Members are to bring a dish to pass and their table service for this picnic. At this meeting, reservations and payments will be accepted from members who wish to attend the chicken barbecue to be held at the Aug. 20 meeting at 12:30 p.m.
