Untouchables

To Perform

On Sunday

CASSADAGA – On Sunday from 5-7 p.m. the Untouchables will perform on the Cassadaga Floating Stage on Cassadaga Beach on Park Avenue. Dead End Creek will perform from 4 to 5 p.m. The performances are free. Those attending should bring a lawn chair for seating. Park at the nearby library, church or fire hall. In case of inclement weather, this concert will be moved to the Cassadaga Fire Hall or American Legion Post 1280. For more information, call 716-665-8855.

Author Series Continues

Monday

BUSTI – The author series at the Hazeltine Public Library continues on Monday with a presentation by Steve Sorensen. Sorensen is an outdoor enthusiast who has written extensively about animals in the wild, hunting, camping and outdoor life. He has published frequently in outdoor magazines, he wrote ‘The Everyday Hunter’ for the Jamestown Gazette and currently contributes a weekly article to The Post-Journal. His presentation on Monday will focus on “How to Be a Writer, an interactive experience” The talks are free and begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Hazeltine Public Library’s Community Building. The series concludes July 1 with Deb Pines, the author of a popular ‘Mysteries at Chautauqua’ series. The author series resumes in late August, writers interested in speaking are invited to call the library at 716-487-1281.

Hazeltine Library Board To Meet June 25

BUSTI – The Hazeltine Public Library board will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at the library, 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road, Busti. The library is handicapped accessible and has off-street parking available. More information is available by calling the library at 716-487-1281. The Hazeltine Library is a member of the Chautauqua Cattaraugus Library System.

Candidate To Speak To

TEA Party

Margot Russell and Andrew Molitor will be the featured speakers at the 7 p.m. Tuesday meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots at 1309 Norby Road. Russel is a columnist for The Post-Journal writing on local and national issues. Molitor is the Republican Party’s endorsed candidate for the 150th Assembly seat currently held by Andy Goodell. Members will also discuss float participation in the July 4 parade in Mayville.

Lakewood Library Hosting Gems Of Chautauqua Exhibit

LAKEWOOD – Gems of Chautauqua, works by Susan Simmons, is a showcase of small paintings, featuring the landmarks and exquisite scenery in and around Chautauqua County. The exhibit will be on display at the Lakewood Memorial Library through June 26.
