Randolph To Host Red Cross Blood Drive

RANDOLPH – The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. June 21 at the Randolph Fire Hall, 70 Main St., Randolph. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
Coffee & Cars Gathering To Be Held Saturday
The Chautauqua Lake Region Club of the Antique Automobile Club of America (CLRAACA) will host its Coffee & Cars gathering at the gazebo at McCrea’s Point, Jamestown, on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. The gathering will take place rain or shine. Talk with car enthusiasts, see some interesting vehicles and enjoy coffee, donuts and conversation. The public is invited to attend and all car enthusiasts are welcome.

Outdoor Club
To Hike Sunday
On Sunday members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike at Coal Knob/ Tuttletown trails in Jakes Rocks the region. This will be a 4-mile loop, not challenging. The group will meet at 1:30 p.m. at Musante Street, Warren. Tom Patterson is the leader for this hike.
Sheriff’s Office To Host Boater Safety Course Sunday
CASSADAGA – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office will host another boater safety course Sunday at Cassadaga American Legion Post 1280. Beginning January 1, 2025, every person operating a motorized vessel on a public waterway in New York will be required to possess a boater safety certificate. Students must be 10 years old by the date of the course. Instruction begins promptly at 8 a.m. Register at www.register-ed.com/events/view/214560. A limited number of walk-in students can be accommodated and should arrive early. The course is free and attendees are given a temporary certificate to use immediately. New York State requires $10 when applying for a permanent card for anyone 18 and older. The course is presented by two veteran deputies with over 80 years combined experience.
