Street Closes Thursdays

For Market

LAKEWOOD -The Village of Lakewood Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market will open Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and operate each Thursday until Sept. 5. The Market will be located on Chautauqua Avenue between

Summit Street and Alta Way. Chautauqua Avenue will be closed on Market days from approximately 7 am to 3 PM.

Falconer Library Alzheimer’s

Presentation To Be Held Tuesday

FALCONER – The Falconer Public Library will host an Alzheimer presentation at 2 p.m. today. The library will be offering two programs presented by the Alzheimer’s Association of Western New York: Understanding and Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors. This program will review caregiver tips and strategies to respond to some common behaviors exhibited by individuals living with dementia, such as agitation, confusion and more. The second program entitled, Managing Money: A Caregivers Guide to Finances, is set for Tuesday, July 23, 10 to 11 a.m. and will cover tips for managing someone else’s finances, how to prepare for future care costs and the benefits of early planning for those suffering from Alzheimer. The public is welcome to attend.

Antique Car Club To Meet Wednesday

FLUVANNA – The CLRAACA will have its monthly general meeting on Wednesday at the War Vets Recreation Club in Fluvanna. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. This month Barb Cessna from the Vets Finding Vets program will be speaking. Anyone with an interest in antique automobiles is welcome to attend.

Watts Flats UMC To Host Dinner Wednesday

WATTS FLATS – Watts Flats United Methodist Church, 866 Blockville-Watts Flats Road, will host a chicken and biscuit dinner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. The dinner will cost $10 with all proceeds to benefit the church.

Falconer Village Board To Hold Special Meeting Thursday

FALCONER – The Falconer Village Board will host a special meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Community Building board room, 101 W. Main St., Falconer, to discuss real estate concerns. The public is welcome to attend.

Golf Scramble Fundraiser

BEMUS POINT – Do you like to golf? If so, come and join THE 9-hole golf scramble on Saturday, June 22 at the Bemus Point Golf Club and Tap House. Along with golf, there will be basket raffles, contests and prizes! The registration fee is $250 per 4-person team which includes your green fees, and lunch. This fun golf scramble is being hosted by The Glass Half Full, which is a nonprofit fundraising organization that helps people in Chautauqua County who are overcoming hardships.
