Panama School Board To Meet June 17

PANAMA – The Panama Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.

Discuss Pride In The Church

“When Pride Comes to the Church” will be the topic of discussion at Koinonia Fellowship on Monday, June 17, at 7 p.m. Several pastors including Leecroft Clark of Healing Word Ministries, Ron Lemon of Koinonia Fellowship, Roy Miller of the Better Place, Andy Frudd of Lakeview Community Church and Mel McGinnis of Kiantone Congregational Church will be on a panel to discuss a biblical response to the Pride of the LGBTQ movement and how it affects the church. All are welcome to attend.

Frewsburg High School Slates Pre-Licensing Course

FREWSBURG – A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be offered at Frewsburg High School on Monday, June 17, from 5 to 10 p.m. The cost is $30. Pre register by emailing rhair@frewsburgcsd.org – include a picture of the student’s learner’s permit, or by calling 716-569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, make sure to have the student’s learner’s permit on hand.

Golden Agers To Meet Tuesday

LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Lakewood American Legion building. The speaker will be Judy Wroda from the Southwestern Independent Living Center regarding seniors moving. All area seniors are welcome to attend. City Planning Commission To Meet June 18

CWC To Host Book Discussion In June

LAKEWOOD – On Wednesday, June 19, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Lakewood Memorial Library in Lakewood, the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy will host a group discussion about the book, “The Devil’s Element: Phosphorus and a World Out of Balance.” Phosphorus is both integral to agriculture and causing havoc in waterways. The discussion will delve into this ‘phosphorus paradox’ as described in the book and how to balance the good and bad of phosphorus. Cassandra Pinkowski from the Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District will also make a brief presentation and join in the discussion.
