To Meet Today

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. today in the board room, 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. Prior to the start of the meeting, the Board of Education will host a tenure recognition reception at 5:30 p.m. for district personnel who are receiving tenure this school year. The public is welcome to attend.

Allen Park To Host First

Allen Park will have its first concert of the season Wednesday featuring the Jamestown High School Band. The next concert will be June 26 with the Jamestown Municipal Band and will run weekly for most of the summer. All concerts are free and open to the public. The Allen Park Women’s Club runs the concession stand with hot dogs, popcorn, penny candies and its famous homemade fudge.

Frewsburg Board Of Education To Meet Thursday

FREWSBURG – The Frewsburg Central Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the middle-high school multi-purpose room. The public is welcome to attend.

Falconer Library Board To Meet Thursday

FALCONER – The Falconer Public Library’s next board meeting will be at 8 a.m. Thursday in the library, 101 W. Main St., Falconer. The public is welcome to attend.

SINCLAIRVILLE — The final Sinclairville Free Library memoir writing class will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at the library. Class size is limited to 10. The class is for any person who wishes to record their memories and experiences. Participants will be guided by prompts (or choose their own). Life story writing has many benefits to the teller, including bringing clarity to life events and is also a gift to others. The course is hosted by Beth Hadley, director of the Sinclairville Free Library, and Patricia Pihl, a personal historian.

County Land Bank To Meet June 13

DUNKIRK – The Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at Katrina’s Restaurant on the Pier, in Dunkirk. The public is welcome to attend. The restaurant is located at the corner of Lakeshore Drive and Central Avenue, on the 2nd floor of Demitri’s Restaurant. Monthly land bank meetings are held to discuss business associated with the land bank’s programs, acquisition and potential sale of property.
