Marco Polo Club Cancels Saturday Spaghetti Dinner
The Marco Polo Club of Jamestown, due to the pending status regarding the sale of the club, will not be holding its regularly scheduled June spaghetti dinner originally planned for Saturday. Club members said they appreciate the loyal following and support for the dinners, but an offer has been made for the purchase of the club, and nothing can happen until the negotiation is completed.
Sherman Central School Board To Meet June 10
SHERMAN – The Sherman Central School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday. The meeting will be held in-person in the school’s auditorium. Members of the public are encouraged to attend.
Ross Grange To Meet June 10
FALCONER – Ross Grange will meet at the Falcon’s Nest Banquet Hall on June 10 for a 12:30 p.m. lunch. Program director Betty Wakefield said they will recognize Flag Day and summer events. Those attending should bring

Falconer Village Board To Gather June 10
FALCONER – The Falconer Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, June 10, in the Fire Exempts Hall, 3 Coleson Drive, Falconer. The public is welcome to attend.
Unit 1280 Auxiliary To Meet June 11
CASSADAGA – The Cassadaga American Post 1280 Auxiliary will meet Tuesday, June 11, with a pot luck dinner at 6 p.m. The auxiliary’s meeting and; installation of 2024-25 officers will follow; all Unit members are encouraged to attend. The slate of officers is: President, Ranee Kaus; 1st Vice President Charyle Tyler; Secretary, Carol Baker, Treasurer, Sue DeGolier; Chaplain Paula Pattison; Sgt-at-Arms, Lynn Moeller. Unit 1280 has corn brooms for sale for $18 each; and Unit 1280 continues to collect stamps, Pennies for Hospice, can tabs for troop support and coupons to benefit military families.
Christian Women To Meet Tuesday
RUSSELL – The Jamestown-Warren Christian Women Village Missions Country Partners will meet Tuesday at noon at Cable Hollow Golf Club, Russell. The speaker will be Kathy Joy Hoffer of Erie with music by Bob and Nancy Evertsen. Bring a $1 brown bag item to exchange. Reservations must be called in to Nancy Schuyler at 716-720-4410. Lunch cost is $12.
Mayville DMV Temporarily Closed
MAYVILLE – The Department of Motor Vehicle Office located at the Hall Clothier Building, 7 N. Erie St., Mayville, will be closed for the remainder of this week due to staffing shortages. Operations are scheduled to resume on Monday. Residents can use the online DMV services available at dmv.ny.gov for various transactions, including license renewals, registration renewals, and more. DMV offices in Jamestown and Dunkirk remain open.
