Temporary Closure

Of Mayville DMV Location

MAYVILLE – The Department of Motor Vehicle Office located at the Hall Clothier Building, 7 N. Erie St. in Mayville, NY, will be closed for the remainder of this week due to staffing shortages. Operations are scheduled to resume on Monday, June 10.

Residents are encouraged to utilize online DMV services available at dmv.ny.gov for various transactions, including license renewals, registration renewals, and more.

Additionally, the following DMV locations in Chautauqua County will remain open to serve your needs:512 W. 3rd St., Jamestown and 3998 Vineyard Drive, Dunkirk.

Tax Collection Continues In Lakewood

LAKEWOOD -The Village of Lakewood tax collection began on June 1. In-person payment will be accepted at the village hall, 20 W Summit St., between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Rabies Clinic Set For June 8

WESTFIELD – The Chautauqua County Health Department is announcing a free rabies vaccination clinic sponsored by the Town of Westfield, Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue, and the CCHD. This will take place Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Town of Westfield Highway Building, 118 Chestnut St. Pre-registration is required and should be submitted online by visiting HealthyCHQ.com/Rabies and view the calendar for upcoming clinics. Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats, and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older.

Pairs And Squares To Meet Sunday

KIANTONE – Pairs and Spares will meet at 6 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall at Kiantone Congregational Church for a potluck dinner. Those attending should bring a dish to pass, The program will be the BethelTones Bell Choir. All are invited to attend.

Ceremony For Revolutionary

Veterans To Be Held

Through the William G. Pomeroy Foundation, two historical markers will be placed. The first at Stillwater Cemetery for Revolutionary War soldiers Aaron Martin, Joseph Marsh and William Stearns at 2 p.n. Sunday. Following at 2:45 to 3 p.m., the second marker will be placed honoring Revolutionary War soldiers Ebenezar Cheney, Ellis Doty and Asa Moore at Kiantone’s Maple Grove Cemetery. The program at each cemetery will include the honor guard from Joseph P. Dwyer veteran support group, Sons of the American Revolution members, and playing of Taps by Al Johnson. There will be remarks made about who these Revolutionary War soldiers were. The public is welcome to attend these ceremonies.

Ellington UMC To Host Special Music Sunday
