RANDOLPH – The Randolph Central School District Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, June 5, at 6 p.m. in the high school library. The public is welcome to attend. Those planning to attend are asked to call Maureen Pitts, district clerk, at 358-7005.
Lakewood Library To Open Art Exhibit June 5
LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Memorial Library will host the artwork of Susan Simmons to their gallery for the month of June. The exhibit title is “Gems of Chautauqua: A Glimpse of Chautauqua County’s Beauty through the Eyes of an Artist”. An opening reception is scheduled for Wednesday, June 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend. The library is located at 12 West Summit St., Lakewood.
Harmony Senior Citizens To
Meet June 6
PANAMA – The Harmony Senior Citizens will meet at noon June 6 at the Panama Methodist Church for a tureen dinner. Members should bring their own table service and a dish to pass. Table hosts include Bob and Cora Delahoy, Fred and Laurie Russell and Mary Keeney. Those attending are asked to wear their “citrus colors”. All area seniors are invited to attend.
North Lake Sewer District Board Schedules Meeting
MAYVILLE – The North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District will hold a special meeting on June 5 at 3:30 p.m. at the Sewer Plant, 50 Clark St., Mayville. The meeting is open to the public.

UMC TO Host Rummage Sale June 7-8
WATTS FLATS – Watts Flats United Methodist Church, 866 Blockville-Watts Flats Road, will host a rummage sale on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be available to purchase.
County Historical Society To
Host Spring
Gala June 8
The Chautauqua County Historical Society will hold its annual spring gala on Saturday, June 8, at the McClurg Museum in Westfield. The gala features hors d’oeuvres and refreshments from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets to the event are $50 and are available by calling 716-326-2977 or emailing info@cchs.mcclurg.org. Guests are invited to view new exhibits and improvements to the museum during the gala. A self-guided audio tour is also available. The McClurg homestead, completed in 1820 by James McClurg, has housed the county historical society since 1951. The structure was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The gala coincides with the reenactment of the daily life and experiences of the 9th New York State Cavalry, which mustered out of Chautauqua County during the Civil War. The encampment, held June 7-9, is free and open to the public. Gala attendees are invited to visit the encampment to learn about the cavalry’s efforts.
