CVCS Board To Hold Special Meeting Today

Parks Commission To Gather

There will be a Chautauqua County Parks Commission meeting held Thursday May 23 at 4 p.m. at the Jamestown Airport. The public is welcome to attend.

Lakewood Library Sets Bookbinding Workshop

LAKEWOOD – Lakewood Memorial Library is hosting a free beginner bookbinding workshop on Saturday, May 25, at noon. The session is good for both passionate book lovers, aspiring artists or those curious about the craft. No prior experience is necessary. All materials will be provided, courtesy of the instructor. Fluvanna Library To Host Mother Daughter Tea

FLUVANNA – The Fluvanna Free Library will host their annual Mother & Daughter Tea on Saturday at 11 a.m. The tea will feature a selection of sandwiches, dessert and hot and iced tea. The participants will also create a spring time craft project. The event is free but registration is required by 5 p.m. Thursday by visiting the library in person between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday or 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday or by calling the library at 716-487-1773. The Fluvanna Free Library is located at 3532 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown.

Gerry To Hold Memorial Day Parade Sunday

GERRY – The town of Gerry will have a Memorial Day parade on Sunday at 2 p.m. Anyone willing or wanting to participate can call the Gerry Town clerk at 716-985-4715.

Post 1280 Plans Cruise-Ins

CASSADAGA – The Cassadaga American Legion Post 1280 Auxiliary is working with the post’s Sons of the Legion to plan summer cruise-in nights. The cruise-ins will be held May 28, June 25, July 30 and Aug. 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the post. Unit 1280 will be holding its pie and baked goods sales during the events.

Prendergast Library To Host Teen Craft Event

The James Prendergast Library will host a special teen crafting event from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28. Stop by the teen area for a special session of teen crafting as the group paints portraits of adoptable animals currently housed at the Chautauqua County Humane Society. Portraits will be based from animal photographs and displayed in the library alongside animal information.
