South, Center Lake Sewer Board To Meet

CELORON – The Administrative Board of the South & Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet at noon Thursday at the Water Pollution Control Facility in Celoron. The public is welcome to attend.

Red Cross Blood Drive Is Thursday At Chautauqua Mall

LAKEWOOD – The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Chautauqua Mall. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

Marco Polo Club To Host Dinner

The Marco Polo Club will be holding an in-club, sit-down, spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Dinners are $12 for adults, $7 for children. Take-out dinners will be available. The drive-through will not be available.

Outdoor Club To Hike Sunday

PANAMA – On Sunday, members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike on the West Overland Trail near Panama. The hike will be an easy shuttle hike. Those attending can hike as little as 2, 4 or 5 miles. Meet at the Panama diner at 2 p.m.

Frewsburg School Board To Host Three Special Meeting

FREWSBURG – The Frewsburg Central School Board of Education will hold three special meetings on Tuesday, April 16, Wednesday, April 17, and Thursday, April 18, at 6 p.m. in the middle-high school multi-purpose room. The board is expected to move into executive session to discuss matters relating to the employment histories of a particular person or persons and matters related to the hiring of a new superintendent of schools. The public is welcome to attend.

AMVETS Post 726 Auxiliary To Serve Dinner

The AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary 726 will be hosting a dinner on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m., or until sold out, at the ILS Veterans Club, 364 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown. Proceeds of the dinner will go to support the John Tracy Center, which provides support and education for parents of children with hearing impairment. The ladies will be serving a choice of two dinners: chicken and biscuits or meatloaf. The meals include a vegetable and dessert. The cost of the dinner is $12 for adults and $5 for children ages six and under. The dinners may be eaten on site or take-outs are available. The club will have the bar area open at 3 p.m. The dinner is open to nonmembers also.
