Libraries To Host RTPI Displays April 6

The Stockton Seymour and Cassadaga branch libraries present a double-feature park display by the Roger Tory Peterson Institute on Saturday, April 6. At 10:30 a.m. at the Cassadaga Village Green on the corner of Route 60, a brief ceremony will present “Cassadaga Songbirds” created by RTPI-sponsored artist Katelyn Davis. At 11:30 a.m. at the Stockton Park at the traffic light, a brief ceremony will highlight Davis’s “Stockton Raptors” display, with a light reception to follow. Surveys submitted by local children were used to select birds for each park. The displays will remain through the end of June. Sign supports have been constructed by students of the WNY P-Tech STEM Academy in Dunkirk with the signs printed by Falconer Printing. The Cassadaga Village Board and Stockton Town Board have also supported the project, while funding was awarded through the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation’s Blossom Fund.
