Board To Meet

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County Board of Directors executive committee meeting will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Jamestown Community College’s Carnahan Center.

Centaur Stride Training

Volunteers

SHERMAN — Do you love horses and always wanted to learn more? Centaur Stride received a grant from the Lake Shore Saving and Loan Community Grants to help train volunteers. If you are over 13 years old, able to lift 25 pounds, and independent in walking and life skills, you can register. The next class starts on Saturday, March 23 from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at Centaur Stride, 8488 Jones Road. Call (716) 326-4318 to register. Class size is limited to four people. It will run for four consecutive weekly lessons (and make-up session if you are out of town during Easter week). There is a registration fee of $50 per person and that covers four lessons on horsemanship, both on and off the horse, as well as an overview of therapeutic horseback riding and what roles you can take to help us work with our horses and riders, or fundraising. If you cannot make it to this class, please call and register anyway. We would be happy to schedule more classes.

PANAMA – The Panama Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.

Ellington Farman Library Board To Meet March 25

ELLINGTON – The Ellington Farman Library Board of Trustees meets on the last Monday of each month in the library’s Community Room. They will meet at 7 p.m. Monday The public is welcome to attend. The agenda and documents to be discussed at the monthly meeting can be requested from the library 24 hours prior to the open meeting at which the documents will be discussed. Sheriff Jim Quattrone will be featured at the monthly meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots on Tuesday, March 26, at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road, Jamestown. He will share about his recent trip to the southern border and the implications. At 4:30 p.m. the movie “Police State” will be shown at the same location.

April 1 Is

Deadline To Remove Winter Items At Lake View Cemetery

Lake View Cemetery in Jamestown will be performing its spring cleanup beginning the first week in April. Anyone wishing to save items at grave sites should remove all items by Monday, April 1. This would include such items as wreaths, solar lights, flower arrangements, etc. Any items remaining at grave sites after April 1 will be removed by cemetery staff and kept at the maintenance garage through the end of April and will then be disposed of.
