St. Luke’s Thrift Shop To Hold Bag Sale Today, Thursday

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St., Jamestown, will have a $2 bag sale of all remaining winter clothing today and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The household department will be closed during the sale The shop will be closed Friday, March 22, and will reopen Wednesday, April 3, with spring clothing.

Outdoor Club

To Hike Sunday

On Sunday, members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike in the Forest Road 179 area off Route 337. The group will meet at the Hearts Content Scenic area at 2 p.m. Jim Berkey will be the leader for this activity.

East Randolph Methodist Church To Present

Concert Sunday

EAST RANDOLPH – Denver Bierman of the Mile High Orchestra will be back in concert at East Randolph Methodist Church on Sunday at 7 p.m. The community is invited to enjoy an evening of music. Easter week services at East Randolph Methodist church are as follows: Maundy Thursday, March 28, will be a Sedar meal at 6 p.m.in the fellowship hall; Good Friday, March 29, worship service in the sanctuary at 7 p.m.; Easter Sunday, March 31, Sunrise Service at 6:55 a.m. in the church pavilion, followed by breakfast in the fellowship hall; Easter Worship in the sanctuary at 10:15 a.m.

Be Observed Monday

Swedish National Waffle Day is Monday March 25. Jamestown will celebrate with Swedish waffles being served from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hot Spot Cafe on the corner of E. Third and Pine streets Eat-in or take-out. All four members of Svenska Spelman will be playing music from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Speak At TEA Party Meeting

Sheriff Jim Quattrone will be featured at the monthly meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots on Thursday, March 26, at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road, Jamestown. He will share about his recent trip to the southern border and the implications for the county and the nation’s border policy. At 4: 30 p.m. the movie “Police State” will be shown at the same location.

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 29 at the Church of Jesus
