Sinclairville, Westfield Village Elections Today

Sinclairville and Westfield are holding elections today for village officials. According to the Board of Elections website, polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m. In Westfield, Johanna Kelley and Blake Maras are running for two trustee seats. Both candidates are listed on both the Democratic and Republican lines. In Sinclairville, James Bailey and Jon Desnerck are both running unopposed for two-year terms.

Lakewood Library To Screen Film Wednesday

LAKEWOOD – From Billions to None: The Passenger Pigeon’s Flight to Extinction reveals the story of the unlikely extinction of the passenger pigeon. For millennia, the sleek long-distance flyer was the most abundant bird in North America and perhaps the world. Then, in a matter of decades, it was hunted to extinction. On September 1, 1914, Martha, the last passenger pigeon in captivity, died in the Cincinnati Zoo, marking the end of the species. The Lakewood Memorial Library will host a free screening of the film at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Falconer Rotary Club To Host Pancake, Waffle Breakfast

FALCONER – The Falconer Rotary Club will hold its semi-annual pancake and waffle breakfast on Saturday, March 23, from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Falcon’s Nest, 2001 E. Main St., Falconer. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Tickets can be purchased from any club member or at the door. Proceeds benefit Falconer area community projects.

Gerry Planning Saturday Easter Party

GERRY — The Town of Gerry along with Gerry Auxiliary will be holding an Easter Party for all Town of Gerry residents at the Gerry Rodeo Grounds at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Church To Host Mile High Orchestra Member

Kidder Memorial Church’s Palm Sunday service will be musically led by Denver Bierman, a Denver, Colo., resident who performs with the Mile High Orchestra, at 10 a.m. Sunday. Antique Equipment Association To Meet March 26

LAONA – The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will hold its monthly meeting on March 26 at 7 p.m. at the Laona Church. All members are encouraged to attend.
