Prendergast Library To Host Book Sale

Starting Thursday

The James Prendergast Library Book Sale will hold a half-off book sale Thursday through Saturday during regular library hours. During the quarterly half-off sale, books in the regular book sale will be half price. Paper bags filled with books cost $10, and there are special bundles and items priced as marked.

Marco Polo Club To Host Dinner Saturday

The Marco Polo Club will be holding an in-club, sit-down, spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday. Dinners are $12 for adults, $7 for children. Take-out dinners will be available. The drive-through will not be available.

Revolution To Meet Saturday

STOCKTON – The Chautauqua Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will meet Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Stockton Hotel. Brent Downing from the New York State S.A.R. will be there to answer questions and give direction to the members. Attendees will order lunch from the menu. Any person interested in the War for Independence is welcome to attend. Spouses are also welcome.

Fenton Canteen To Be Held

Saturday

Fenton Canteen will be held on Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Fenton History Center, 67 Washington St., Jamestown. Joining the group will be a local author who is also a WWII Navy veteran. Rosario (Dave) Riotto’s book, “What they say about the Belly Robbers” is a bird’s eye-view into Navy life, but the camaraderie and humor will appeal to veterans of all branches and ages.

Falconer Village Board To Meet Monday

FALCONER – The Falconer Village Board will hold a work session at 5 p.m. Monday, before its regular meeting, in the Fire Exempts Hall, 3 Coleson Drive, Falconer. There will be a presentation by the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy on the Chadakoin River and a presentation by the Fire Advisory Board at the work session.

Library To Host Teen Retro Game Night

Monday

The James Prendergast Library will host a teen retro game night from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday featuring such games as Ms. Pac-Man, classic Wii games, Scattergories, and others. Snacks are provided. The night is for those ages 12 to 18. No registration required.

Watts Flats UMC To Serve Ham, Scalloped Potato Dinner

Watts Flats United Methodist Church, 866 Blockville-Watts Flats Road, Watts Flats, will be having a ham and scalloped potato dinner on Wednesday, March 13, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The dinner will cost $10 with all proceeds to benefit the church.
