Valley To Hold Special School Board Meetings

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Cassadaga Valley Central School Board will hold special meetings at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the middle-high school multipurpose room and via zoom. The purpose of the meetings are to discuss personnel and matters related to the hiring of a new superintendent.

First Lutheran To Host Noon Lenten Service Wednesday

The Rev. Laura A. Csellak, chaplain at Lutheran, will be the guest speaker at the midweek noon-time Lenten Service at the First Lutheran Church on Wednesday. Csellak will also be guest pianist for a couple of the congregational hymns. The Rev. Mark E. Swanson, pastor of First Lutheran Church, Jamestown, will be the liturgist. Brian A. Bogey will be the organist. The Lenten services are sponsored by the Southwestern Conference Lutherans and will be held in the Memorial Chapel, which is handicapped-accessible. The noon service will be followed by a soup, salad, and homemade pie luncheon in the church parlors for a nominal fee. The luncheon is sponsored by the First Lutheran Altar Society. The public is welcome to attend.

Randolph School Board To Gather Wednesday

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Central School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the high school library. Those who wish to attend are asked to contact Maureen Pitts, district clerk, at 716-358-7005.

Sewer Districts Meeting To Be Held March 7

The administrative board of the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet at noon Thursday, March 7, at the water pollution control facility.

Pasta Dinner To Support Impact Campus

Fellowship

A pasta dinner to support Impact Campus Fellowship will be held from 4:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, at Hillcrest Church, 40 Hallock St., Jamestown. The cost is $12 per person and $5 for kids. Meals will include rigatoni, bread, salad, beverage and dessert.

Fenton Canteen

To Be Held March 9

Fenton Canteen will be held on Saturday, March 9, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Fenton History Center, 67 Washington St., Jamestown. Joining the group will be a local author who is also a WWII Navy veteran. Rosario (Dave) Riotto’s book, “What they say about the Belly Robbers” is a bird’s eye-view into Navy life, but the camaraderie and humor will appeal to veterans of all branches and ages.
