Kennedy Kids Book Club To Meet Friday

KENNEDY — The Kennedy Free Library hosts a kids book club (Bookworm Book Club) on the last Friday of each month. All ages are welcome. Children have one month to read the chosen book and then gather at the library to watch the corresponding movie with a pizza party. February’s book is “James and the Giant Peach” by Roald Dahl. Bookworm Book Club will meet Friday at 5 p.m. Those interested can check the book out at any library in the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System. For more information call 716-267-4265.

Patriots To

Meet Feb. 27

The monthly meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road featuring Randy Elf addressing the differences between Biden and Trump and issues on the southern border of the country. Michael Dee will debut the “1503 Project” to counter the narrative of the “1619 Project.” Updates on school boards will also be a subject matter.

Jablonski Is Guest Of Next Turner Winter Series Program Feb. 27

The next Turner Winter Series Program is scheduled at the Robert H. Jackson Center at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The featured guest is John Jablonski, co-founder and former executive director of the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy. He will reflect on his career and accomplishments. The public is welcome to attend. Those unable to attend can watch on Zoom.

Kiantone Church To Host Showing Of Movie Feb. 29

KIANTONE — Kiantone Congregational Church, 646 Kiantone Road, Jamestown, will show the movie “Letter to the American Church” by Eric Metaxas at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, in the fellowship hall. It is free to attend and the event will include a brief discussion afterward. Anyone with questions can call 716-569-2210.

Auxiliary To Host Dinner Honoring Veterans March 9

BUSTI — The Busti Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary is hosting a Swiss steak dinner on Saturday, March 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Busti Fire Hall. Reservations only, please. The meal will include Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, vegetable, beverage and dessert. The cost is $15 per person with veterans dining free. Call 716-661-9064 to make a reservation.
