City Church To Offer Flu, COVID Vaccines

Saturday

Blackwell Chapel AME Zion Church, 610 Spring St., Jamestown, will hold a free flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinic from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. Those attending are asked to bring identification and their insurance card. Lunch will be provided.

History Fair

Planning Group To Meet

SINCLAIRVILLE — The planning group for this year’s Sinclairville History Fair will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Sinclairville Free Library, 15 Main St., Sinclairville. Anyone interested in helping in any way, to plan or work at the fair is invited to attend. This is the 25th annual History Fair.

Author TJ Buck To Sign Books Saturday

LAKEWOOD — Local author TJ Buck will be appearing at the Good Neighbor Bookstore in Lakewood from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to sign copies of his eighth novel, Bad Water, a a crime novel about a daughter seeking justice for her mother’s murder as well as the killing of two other women at the hands of a serial killer 20 earlier. In addition to being available at the Good Neighbor Bookstore in Lakewood, Buck’s new novel as well as his previous well-received seven novels (The Great Twitch, Isn’t It Pretty To Think So?, Of Bloody Deeds And Death, and A Terrible Thing, Beyond The Pale, Here Be Lions, and Are You Ready To Die?) are available on Amazon in both soft cover ($20) and e-book ($10) versions. Buck is a Jamestown native and Falconer High School graduate who spent more than 20 years as an award-winning journalist for various newspapers across New York state and in Arizona before returning to his hometown to write fiction full time.

Kiantone Church To Hold Monday Bible Studies

KIANTONE — Bible Study is scheduled for Mondays starting Monday, Feb. 19, from 11 a.m. to noon at Kiantone Congregational Church Fellowship Hall.

CWC To Hold Winter Walk, Campfire Feb. 24

CASSADAGA — The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy will hold a winter walk/snowshoe and campfire gathering at its Cassadaga Creek Wetland Preserve in Sinclairville on Saturday, Feb. 24. The event is free and open to the public and will start at 5:30 p.m., with the walk/snowshoe starting at 6 p.m. Attendees can opt to remain by the campfire and socialize during the walk time. After the walk, all are invited to stay and warm up by the fire and enjoy complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, and s’mores. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own beverage and a snack or snack to pass if desired as well as a chair for sitting around the fire.
