‘Chautauqua Rails’ Author Plans Presentations

The author of “Good Soles: Chautauqua Rails to Trails Namesakes and Trailblazers,” Wendy Lewellen, will be holding two book presentations this week.

The first will be today at 5 p.m. at the Patterson Library in Westfield. Books will be available for purchase after the 45-minute presentation and discussion. On Saturday, she is privileged to present at the Bemus Point Library at 11 a.m. The book is available for purchase any day the library is open.

Please consider a small donation to both libraries as 100% of the book donation goes straight to Chautauqua Rails to Trails, not to the author.

Bemus Point School Board Meets Monday At Maple Grove

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point Central School Board will meet Monday in the Maple Grove Middle-High School cafeteria on Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. An executive session will be held at 5:30 p.m. with the regular meeting following at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Historical Society To Host Guest Speaker

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point Historical Society Guest Speaker Series continues on Wednesday Feb. 14, at 7 p.m. as Richard Roll of Memorial Photo helps the group be better historical archivists as he shares best practices in the care and preservation of photographs, documents and artifacts. The free event is open to the public and will be held at the Bemus Point Village Hall on Alburtus Avenue. The adjacent Bemus Point Historical Society Museum will be open for touring starting at 6 p.m.

Break VBS Planned In Frewsburg Feb. 18-20

Zion Lutheran Church in Frewsburg will be holding a February Break VBS on Feb, 18, 19, and 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Registration forms and t-shirt order information can be found on their website at https://www.zionfrewsburg.com/vbs/ T-shirt orders need to be placed by Feb. 11. The theme for VBS this year is Daniel. VBS is for students in grades UPK-6th grade.

Senior Living Discussion Set For Lakewood Library

LAKEWOOD — Representatives from Culture Care Senior Living will be available at Lakewood Memorial Library, 12 W. Summit St. from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22. The team from Tanglewood Manor, Memory Garden, Frewsburg Rest Home, Comfort Today Adult Day Services and Spa, and Cottages on the Pond will be available to discuss opportunities available for seniors in the community and their families.
