Ellicott Clerk’s Office To Accept Property Tax Payments

The Ellicott Town Clerk’s office will be open from 8 a.m. to noon and then from 3-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, for accepting property tax payments.

Patriots To Meet On Jan. 23

The TEA Party Patriots will meet Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 1309 Norby Road. A movie will be shown at 4:30 p.m. with the regular meeting following at 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be Randy Elf, a constitutional lawyer. Michael Dee will present as well. For more information, call 716-569-6610.

AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary To Host Dinner Jan. 27

The AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary 726 will be hosting a dinner on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m., or until sold out, at the ILS Veterans Club, 364 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown. Proceeds will go to Shriner’s hospitals. The ladies will be serving a choice of two dinners: chicken and biscuits or liver and onions. The meals include a vegetable and dessert. The cost of the dinner is $12 for adults and $5 for children ages six and under. The dinners may be eaten on site or take-outs are available. The club will have the bar area open at 3 p.m.

Rehabilitation Grants Available In City

The city Department of Development announced that a new round of rehabilitation grants for property owners who own rental units within city limits is now open. The grants are available to owners with existing rental properties with an active tenant and existing rental properties that are condemned or not occupied (must be rented and occupied within three months of project completion). Funds will be limited to a total of three units per property owner and will be limited to $30,000 per unit. Funding can be directly paid to a contractor or reimbursed through the duration of the project. To meet qualifications, owners must rent to low-to-moderate income residents. Applications must be submitted before 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5. Applications can be emailed to dod@jamestownny.gov or hand delivered to 200 E Third St. Jamestown, NY, fourth floor. Norden Women’s Club To Hold Luncheon

The Norden Women’s Club will hold a member-guest luncheon on Friday, Feb. 2, at the Chop House, catered by Diana Scott. The social hour begins at noon, with lunch served at 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be an assortment of quiches and desserts; in addition to a choice of broccoli cheese or Italian wedding soup. The program is a presentation on “Build Laser Focus and Get More Work Done,” by Nichole Segrue, CEO of Universal Tooling Company and program director at GEAR UP.
