Ripley School Board To Meet Jan. 18

RIPLEY — The Jan. 10 regular meeting of the Ripley Central School Board has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, in the superintendent’s office, room 119, at Ripley Central School.

Prendergast Library Board To Meet Jan. 18

The James Prendergast Library’s next Board of Trustees meeting will be held at the library on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 5:15 p.m. Board meetings are open to the public.

County IDA Board To Meet Jan. 23

The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency board will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at the second floor conference room in the BWB Building, 201 W. Third St., Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend. The meeting will also be broadcast on a live stream on YouTube and via Zoom at us02web.zoom.us/j/81718479703.

AMVETS Post 726 Ladies

Auxiliary Dinner Is Jan. 27

The AMVETS Post 726 Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting a dinner on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m., or until sold out, at the ILS Veterans Club, 364 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown. Proceeds of the dinner will go to Shriner’s hospitals. The ladies will be serving a choice of two dinners: chicken and biscuits or liver and onions. The meals include a vegetable and dessert. The cost of the dinner is $12 for adults and $5 for children ages six and under. The dinners may be eaten on site or take-outs are available. The club will have the bar area open at 3 p.m.

Cooperative Extension Board To Meet Jan. 29

The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County Board of Directors reorganizational meeting will be held Monday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m. in the Carnahan Center at Jamestown Community College. The public is welcome to attend.

Library To Host Teen Anime Night

The James Prendergast Library will host a Teen Animanga Night at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 26. The program is designed for youth ages 12 to 18 and includes watching anime, discussing manga, and trying some Japanese snacks. No registration is required. There is no fee to participate.

City Church To Host Flu, COVID Vaccine Clinic

Healing Word Ministries Church, 1006 W. Third St., Jamestown, will host a flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinic from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30. Those attending are asked to bring their ID and insurance cards. There will be a baked potato bar and the church food pantry will be open from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Vaccines are offered free of charge through partnership by the Chautauqua County Office for Aging Services and NY Connects.
