Ellington Library To Hold Eclipse Program

Thursday

ELLINGTON – On Monday, April 8, the moon will completely cover the sun’s bright face, producing an eclipse that will be directly in viewing line within Chautauqua County. Total solar eclipses draw thousands to an area to witness the event. This increase in people to the community will have an impact on the area. Today from 6:30 to 8 p.m., the Ellington Farman Library will be presenting an Eclipse Preparedness Program with speakers Steve Rexford from the Ellington Volunteer Fire Department and Corey Swanson from Martz Observatory. They will speak on upcoming preparations that the community and citizens can do to be ready for the eclipse. No registration is required for this program but seating is limited. Ellington Farman Library is located at 760 Thornton Road, Ellington. For more information, visit ellingtonlibrary.org or the library’s Facebook page.
