Harmony Senior Citizens Meet Thursday
PANAMA — Harmony Senior Citizens will meet at noon Thursday, Jan. 4, at Panama Methodist Church for a soup and sandwich luncheon. Members are asked to bring their own soup bowl and their own table service. While soup and sandwiches will be provided, some desserts are requested. New Years will be celebrated. All area seniors are invited and encouraged to attend.
City Zoning Board Of Appeals Cancels January Meeting
Due to a lack of agenda items, there will not be a January Jamestown Zoning Board of Appeals meeting. The board’s next meeting is scheduled for February.
Sherman Central School Board To Meet Monday
SHERMAN — The Sherman Central School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday. The meeting will be held in-person in the school’s auditorium. Members of the public are encouraged to attend.

Women’s Group To Meet Jan. 9
RUSSELL, Pa. — The January luncheon of Village Missions Jamestown-Warren Christian Women will be held on Tuesday at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell, Pa. The speaker is Mary Brown of the Warren Women’s Care Center on “Seasons Of Our Lives.’ Nate and Sarah Dispenza of Warren will provide program music. Pre-Licensing Course
Scheduled
FREWSBURG – A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be offered at Frewsburg High School on Monday, Jan. 22, from 5 to 10 p.m. The cost is $30. Preregister by emailing rhair@frewsburgcsd.org – include a picture of the student’s learner’s permit, or by calling 716-569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, make sure to have the student’s learner’s permit on hand.
United Senior Council Installs Officers
The United Senior Council met Dec. 14 at the Celoron Community Center for a Christmas luncheon. New officers were installed: Ellen Coffaro, president; Linda Kesey, vice president; Russell Diethrick, treasurer; Becky Blum, assistant treasurer; Helen Johnson, secretary pro tem; and Connie Whitman, secretary. All seniors are invited to the next meeting on March 14 at 10 a.m. at the Burcek Luch’s Center at the corner of Fifth and Church streets in Jamestown.
