4-H To Host Christmas

Craft Program Saturday

Chautauqua County’s 4-H Program is hosting a Christmas Crafts L.E.A.F Jr. workshop Saturday starting at 10 a.m. in the Carnahan Center at Jamestown Community College, 241 James Ave., Jamestown. Lunch will be available around noon. All youth are welcome to attend. Hot cocoa will be provided and there will be a baked potato bar for youth. Those attending will make ornaments, decorations, homemade candles and Christmas swags. Branches for the swags are donated by Yerico Farms. The cost for 4-H youth is $10 and $15 for those who aren’t 4-H members.Pre-payment is requested. For reservations, call Lindsey by Friday at 716-664-9502, ext. 212, or email lc832@cornell.edu.

Panama Central School Board Meets Monday

PANAMA – The Panama Central School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, in the school board room. The meeting is open to the public.

Poland Town Board To Meet Tuesday

The Poland Town Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, at the Poland Town Hall to approve a two-year contract with the town Highway Department.

JCC Board Of Trustees To Gather Tuesday

The SUNY Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, in the boardrooms of the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses, and North County Center. If attending the meeting, register with Marsha Hern at MarshaHern@mail.sunyjcc.edu or call 716-338-1060.

Community And Heritage Fund Accepting Grant Applications

RIPLEY – The Ripley Community and Heritage Fund is currently accepting grant applications. Charitable nonprofit organizations that serve the Ripley community are eligible to apply for funding. Interested organizations can find grant applications and guidelines at nccfoundation.org/community-advised or by contacting board chair Richard Wade at 716-269-9304 or co-chair Pete Ryan, at 716-252-6542. Mail completed applications to the fund in care of Dick Wade, 25 N. State St., Ripley, NY 14775, postmarked by Jan. 15. The Ripley Community and Heritage Fund was formed in 2000 with a mission to enrich the lives of Ripley residents. To help the community, the fund administers a grant program specifically for volunteer organizations providing valuable services within the Ripley community. It is a community donor-advised fund of the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation. The grants awarded by the fund have been made available through the Ripley Community and Heritage Fund Endowment created at the foundation by over 140 community businesses, citizens and organizations.
