Fly-Tying Classes Scheduled For Dec. 11, Dec. 18

SINCLAIRVILLE – Country Kids on the Fly will meet at the Sinclairville Free Library, 15 Main St., on Mondays, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18, at 6 p.m. The program is free for those ages 8 and up to learn fly tying techniques. All tools and materials will be provided. Parents must accompany youngsters to the first meeting to fill out and sign papers. Adults are welcome, too. Biblical Study Of Gaza Continues Monday

KIANTONE – “The Bible and Gaza” will continue at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18, at the Kiantone Congregational Church. The study examines what the Bible has to say about Gaza and how the study of Scripture is essential for bringing understanding to the conflict in that region. JCC Committees To Meet Tuesday

The SUNY Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will hold committee meetings on Tuesday, Dec. 12, in the boardrooms of the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses and the North County Center. MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua Lake Central School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, in the secondary library at Chautauqua Lake Central School. A public hearing will take place prior at 6:30 p.m. for the proposed firefighter and first responder tax exemption.

Service Of Christmas Grace To Be Held Dec. 17

KIANTONE – A Service of Christmas Grace will be held at the Kiantone Congregational Church on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 6 p.m. Recognizing how the celebration of the season is not joyful for all due to personal setbacks or missing beloved ones, the service seeks to bring consolation and comfort through the grace of God to encourage those hurting. The service is open for all.

Watts Flats UMC To Host Dinner Dec. 20

BLOCKVILLE — Watts Flats United Methodist Church, 866 Blockville-Watts Flats Road, Ashville, will be having a ham and scalloped potato dinner with desserts on Wednesday, Dec. 20, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The dinner will cost $10 with all proceeds to benefit the church.
