County Parks Commission To Meet Thursday

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will hold its last monthly meeting of 2023 on Thursday at the Jamestown Airport at 4 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Lakewood Library Board To Meet Thursday

LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Memorial Library Board of Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the library, 12 W. Summit St., Lakewood. The public is invited to attend.

TEA Party Plans Movie, Meeting

The rescheduled TEA Party will feature the movie “2000 Mules” on Thursday at 4: 30 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road followed by pizza and chips. The regular meeting will commence at 7 p.m. Randy Barber of NY Citizens Audit will discuss statewide and national concerns over protecting the integrity of the vote with a proactive look ahead to 2024. Individuals recently elected in Jamestown and county level will appear at the meeting with brief remarks about their respective office. In addition, the next step to stopping Gov. Kathy Hochul’s isolation and quarantine camps will be discussed. Issues in local schools, stopping local solar projects, and the proposed transfer of the city’s baseball park to JCC also will be addressed.

Caroling At

Allen Park

The Allen Park Women’s Club will host Christmas Caroling at the Allen Park pavilion from 6-7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8. All are invited to attend the free event featuring the Jamestown High School Choir, which will be leading the club in singing Christmas carols. There will be cookies and hot chocolate, as well as a big bonfire.

Marco Polo

Club To Host Spaghetti Dinner Saturday

The Marco Polo Club will be holding an in-club, sit-down spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Dinners are $12 for adults and $7 for children. Take-out dinners will be available. The drive-through will not be available.

Christian Women To Meet Tuesday

The Tuesday, Dec. 12, program and luncheon of Village Missions Country Partners, Jamestown-Warren Christian Women will be held at noon at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell, Pa. The speaker is Terry Pearson, Warren, of Hooktown Holidays which provides philanthropic services to local community. Music is by Rev. Sue and David Ford of Cherry Creek.
