City Planning Commission To Meet Today

Tree Of Life Food Cupboard Closed Friday

The Tree of Life Food Cupboard, 825 Forest Ave., Jamestown, will be closed Friday. Regular food cupboard hours are Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Spaghetti Dinner Benefit Set For Sunday

CELORON — A spaghetti dinner benefit for Jennifer Brently Weilacher will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, at the Celoron Legion. The 42-year-old mother and wife is awaiting a kidney transplant. The benefit will include a 50/50 drawing and auction. The cost is $10 at the door; children 10 and under are free. Anyone with questions is asked to call Betty at 716-244-1953.

Food Truck At Ashville UMC Nov. 28

ASHVILLE – The Feed More of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Falconer will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Open hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 3 to 5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, only proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required:Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti or is a Client of the Ashville Pantry. The food is no longer pre-boxed. Those receiving food should bring their own bags or boxes. Those getting food will need to walk around to the different tables to pick out what foods they want. TEA Party Patriots To Meet Nov. 28

The next meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots will be held Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. Randy Barber of NY Citizens Audit will discuss statewide and national concerns over protecting the integrity of the vote with a proactive look ahead to 2024 and what precautions are being taken to keep the election process from being compromised. Individuals recently elected in Jamestown and at the county level will appear at the meeting with brief remarks about their respective office. Other local matters such as solar project issues will be addressed.

Serendipity Christmas Reverie Concert Set

A Serendipity Christmas Reverie concert will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Christ First United Methodist Church, 663 Lakeview Ave., Jamestown. The concert is free to attend. A free will offering will be taken, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Arise Chautauqua.
