Theta Beta Sorority To Meet Dec. 14
The members of Theta Beta Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi International, met recently at the “Music for Your Mouth” restaurant in Mayville to celebrate the chapter’s birthday. After the meal, Tracie Smith, president, conducted a short business meeting. Under the service projects, the chapter voted to give a donation to the Minerva Library in Sherman and a donation of money to CASA for Christmas gifts to be given to community children in need. Joan Wahl, a former member of Theta Beta, has written her first novel, “Summer Love in Music City.” She sent an invitation to the members to attend her book signing event on November 14 at the Patterson Library in Westfield. The program for the evening was presented by Diane Brosius on “Life’s Little Instructions.” After the reading, members shared memories and reminiscences of a former Beta Sigma Phi member Virginia TenHagen. She was a friend of all who had a huge impact on the lives of those present. The next meeting will be a Christmas party at the home of Rose VanVolkenburg on Dec. 14 in Sherman.
