Host Special Meeting Today

SHERMAN – The Sherman Central School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. today in-person in the school’s auditorium. Members of the public are encouraged to attend.

Ventriloquist To Give Lessons Saturday

SINCLAIRVILLE – Chris Blakeslee of 716 Puppet Productions will be at the Sinclairville Free Library on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Blakeslee will be at the library with his puppet friends demonstrating how to perform ventriloquism. The program is available to anyone age 8 and up and there is no charge for attendance. All interested persons are invited to attend, especially children over the age of 8 years.

Rabies Clinic Set For Saturday In Jamestown

The Chautauqua County Health Department and city of Jamestown will host a annual free rabies vaccination clinic at the Taylor Training Center, 240 Harrison St., from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats, and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older. The clinic is currently full but a limited number of vaccines will be available to service walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone wishing to take advantage of the extra availability is encouraged to arrive at 11:45 a.m. at the clinic. At the clinic, all dogs must be on a leash, all cats and ferrets must be in individual carriers.

McClurg Museum To Hold Open House Nov. 19

WESTFIELD – The McClurg Museum in Westfield will be adorned with festive decorations for its Just Desserts open house from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19. The event, sponsored by the Chautauqua County Historical Society, is free and open to the public and is part of the Christmas in Westfield program. Refreshments will be served. Guests are welcome to explore the museum’s rooms and collections during the open house. Collections of curated and antique ornaments will be featured in decorations on the first floor. Bemus Point School Board Meets Monday

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point School Board will meet Monday in the Maple Grove Middle-High School cafeteria, Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. An executive session will be held at 5:30 p.m. followed by the regular meeting. The public is welcome to attend.

Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers Meet Tuesday

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the Lakewood American Legion building. The meeting will include the harvest dinner and a report from the Nominating Committee. Members are asked to bring a non-perishable food item. The Legion will be making up baskets to be distributed to local families.
