Meeting Regarding Strong Starts Delayed
Christine Schuyler, one of the co-chairs of the Chautauqua County Prenatal-Early Childhood Advisory Council of the Strong Starts Coalition, has announced that the meeting that was to take place Monday, Nov. 13, to discuss Strong Starts Chautauqua has been delayed. A new date has not been set.
Lakewood Board Changes Work Session
LAKEWOOD – The work session portion of the Lakewood Village Board meeting will start at 5:45 p.m. rather than 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 13.
Jamestown Christian Woman To Meet Nov. 14
The Jamestown-Warren Christain Women will hold its Veterans Day luncheon Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell, Pa., at noon. Speakers are Tom Eaton and Lee Borger of the Allegheny Valley Veterans Center in Clarendon, Pa. The group is collecting synthetic or cotton socks for veterans to be sent overseas by the Blue Star Mothers. There are no dues or membership. Call Nancy at 716-720-4410 for a reservation. Men are also welcome. No dues or membership are required.
Jamestown School Board Moves Meeting From Nov. 14 To Nov. 20
The next Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education meeting has been changed. The meeting that was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 14, and has been rescheduled to Monday, November 20, at 6 p.m. The location of the meeting is Love Elementary School, 50 E Eighth St., Jamestown.
Prendergast Library Board To Gather Thursday
The James Prendergast Library’s next Board of Trustees meeting will be held Thursday at 5:15 p.m. in the library’s Fireplace Room. Board meetings are open to the public.
Fenton History Center To Host Craft Fair Nov. 18
The Fenton History Center will hold the fourth Fenton Holiday Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Fenton Mansion. Local artisans and crafters will be set up with a variety of handmade items and vintage Christmas items throughout the festively decorated mansion. Admission for the day is $3.
Pearl City Clay House Sets November Events
Infinity’s Pearl City Clay House location is hosting a variety of holiday-themed classes and workshops in clay and contemporary crafts during the month of November. Experiences will focus on helping participants create unique handmade items for the holiday gift-giving season.
