Lakewood Parking Regs Begin
LAKEWOOD – The parking of vehicles is prohibited on all streets and highways within the Village of Lakewood between 12 midnight and 7 a.m. The rules began Nov. 1 and will end March 31, 2024.
Thrift Shop To Be Open This Saturday
St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St., Jamestown, will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. All departments are stocked with warm winter clothing. Ladies slacks and jeans are half price; men’s sweater vests are half price. The household department includes many Christmas items. Regular business hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds are used locally.
Busti Fire Dept. Turkey Party Is Saturday
BUSTI – The Busti fire department will be hosting its annual turkey party Saturday. Doors open at 6 p.m. The party includes turkeys ham, surf and turf as well as door prizes. Free drinks, hot dogs and snacks will be provided.
Lakewood Library To Open Photo Exhibit Nov. 8
LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Memorial Library will open a new exhibit featuring the work of Maria Malmstrom. Entitled “Rome – The Eternal City”, the show will feature images captured during Malmstrom’s last trip to Italy. An opening reception will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Her work will be on view through the month of November. The Lakewood Memorial Library is located at 12 W. Summit St., Lakewood.

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Cassadaga Valley Central School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, in the Sinclairville Elementary School cafeteria.

RIPLEY — The Ripley Central School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the superintendent’s office in room 119.
Bemus Point Historical Society To Meet Wednesday
BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Historical Society Guest Speaker Series continues on Wednesday as Bill Ward, Chautauqua Rails to Trails president, is welcomed to provide insights into the importance of retaining recreational trails and will introduce members to Chautauqua County Greenways. The free event will be held at the Bemus Point Village Hall on Alburtus Avenue beginning at 7 p.m. The adjacent Bemus Point Historical Society Museum will be open at 6 p.m. for participants to tour.
