Cemetery Fall Cleanup Has Begun
The Sunset Hill Cemetery Association has started its fall cleanup. Those who want to keep their flowers must remove them by Sunday, Oct. 1. Any remaining flowers will be disposed of by the maintenance department.
Local Author To Introduce New Children’s Book At Sinclairville Free Library
SINCLAIRVILLE — Local author Dawn Swanson, who is also director of the Kennedy Free Library, will visit the Sinclairville Free Library at 6 p.m. today to introduce her new children’s book, “Charlotte, The Very Good, Very Naughty Girl.” She will read from her new book to any children present, and there will be crafts available based on events of the book. The author will answer questions about her writing process and the publication of her book. The books will be available for purchase and signing by the author. Hardcover copies are $26.95, paperbacks are $15.95, and the book is also available as an Ebook for $9.99.
Coffee And Cars Gathering Set For Saturday
The Chautauqua Lake Region Club of the Antique Automobile Club of America is hosting a Coffee and Cars gathering at the gazebo at McCrea Point Park in Jamestown on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. The public is invited to attend as are all car enthusiasts. This will be the last Coffee and Cars for 2023.
AOC To Hike To Gardner Rocks On Sunday
The Allegheny Outdoor Club will be hiking to Gardner Rocks on Sunday. Anyone interested in hiking with the club can meet at the Soil Conservation District trailhead parking lot at 2 p.m. From Arby’s at Hatch Run, travel 1.3 miles on Hatch Run and the trailhead is on the left. Borrello To Be Featured At
General Meeting Of The Southern Tier Tea Party
State Senator George Borrello will be featured at the general meeting of the Southern Tier Tea Party Patriots on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road, Jamestown. Migrants being relocated from New York City to rural counties like Chautauqua County will be one issue discussed as well as the new isolation and quarantine rules proposed by the state Health Department and fought in court by Borrello. The meeting will also include discussion of child trafficking in the county and what can be do about it beyond being awareness.
