Early Literacy Program Begins At Library
SINCLAIRVILLE — Child’s Play, the Sinclairville Free Library’s Early Literacy Program, begins fall sessions on Wednesdays from 1-2 p.m. with the following schedule: Sept. 6, Letter Day; Sept. 13, Sunflowers; Sept. 20, School Readiness; and Sept. 27, Apple Time. Children ages birth to 4 and their caregivers are invited to join library assistant Jessica Huling for engaging stories, social play, crafts and songs. Older siblings are also welcome to attend. KIANTONE — On Saturday, Sept. 9, at 6 p.m., Pairs and Spares will meet in the fellowship hall at Kiantone Congregational Church for a potluck dinner with a special program by Amy Miller, missionary to Alaska. Corn on the cob will be provided. All are welcome to attend.

Artist To Be At Lakewood Memorial Library
LAKEWOOD — Join artist Sarah Brown-Millspaw at Lakewood Memorial Library on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 11 a.m. to learn how to paint flowers with watercolor. She will bring in a beautiful bouquet and guide everyone through the process of painting the flowers in their own way. Instructions and materials will be included. Participants will take home their watercolor creations. The free workshop was made possible through grant funding from the Cullen Foundation for the Arts. Pre-Licensing Driving Course Offered At FCS
FREWSBURG — A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be offered at Frewsburg High School on Monday, Sept. 18, from 5 to 10 p.m. The cost is $30. Pre-register by emailing rhair@frewsburgcsd.org and include a picture of the student’s learner’s permit, or call 716-569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, sure to have the student’s learner’s permit on hand.
Valley Historical Society To Gather
SINCLAIRVILLE — The Valley Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5. The meeting will take place at the society’s museum at Main and Lester streets in Sinclairville. Final plans for this year’s History Fair will be discussed. Anyone interested in local history is invited to attend.
