Workshop To Be Held At Fenton History Center
On Saturday at 10:30 a.m., the Fenton History Center will present a one-hour workshop on Scottish research at the center’s Hall House Research Library, 73 Forest Ave.. The Kiantone Maple Grove Cemetery Association will have a special meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at Kiantone Congregational Fellowship Hall to approve changes for rules and regulations.
Hazeltine Public Library To Begin Next Author Series Monday
BUSTI — The Hazeltine Public Library will begin its next author series Monday at 6:30 p.m. with north county resident Catherine D’Agostino speaking about her first novel “Braided Lies”. Set in the Thousand Island region of Alexandria Bay, the story follows the unsolved deaths of two high school seniors and the relaunching of an investigation 25 years later. D’Agostino is a State University at Fredonia graduate, a former Post-Journal reporter and is currently a high school English teacher. The author series is free, open to the public and no reservations are required. The presentations are held in the library Community Building and will continue Mondays through Oct. 9. Aug. 28 features Walt Pickut, author of a true life spy story. The Hazeltine Public Library is located at 891 Busti Sugar Grove Road, Busti, and can be reached at 716-487-1281.

Party Meeting
Scheduled For Tuesday Aug. 22
Jack Cashill, the author of “Untenable: the True Story of White Ethnic Flight from America’s Cities,” will be featured on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m. at the monthly meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots at 1309 Norby Road, Jamestown. From first-hand experience, Cashill covers the aftershocks of the comprehensive social experiment in 1960s including crime rates in cities and demands for reparations. Also the meeting will address the fight to defeat Gov. Kathy Hochul’s appeal of a court decision voiding proposed isolation and quarantine rules and awareness for curbing veteran suicide.
