Zoning Board Meeting Is Rescheduled

LAKEWOOD — The Village of Lakewood Zoning Board of Appeals/Planning Board meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, has been postponed and rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 17.

United Senior Council Meeting Moved

The United Senior Council of Chautauqua County has relocated its picnic planned for Thursday, Aug 10, at 11 a.m. to the Whitman residence at 321 E. Terrace Ave., Lakewood.

CCBA To Hold Monthly Meeting On Thursday

The Chautauqua County Beekeepers Association will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Fluvanna Community Church, 3363 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown. August is a critical period in the beekeeper’s year, as management practices implemented now will have a strong influence on fall production and winter survival. At this meeting, activities such as mite control and late summer apiary management will be discussed. The meeting is open to the public free of charge. Beginners are welcome. Panama Central School BOE To Meet On Friday

PANAMA — The Panama Central School Board of Education will hold a special board meeting at 7 a.m. Friday in the board room. The meeting is open to the public.

DAR Announces Upcoming Events

The Benjamin Prescott Chapter and Benjamin Bosworth Chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently met for picnic meeting at Point Gratiot Park in Dunkirk. Prescott DAR chapter members will attend the District VII workshop Saturday in Cuba, N.Y. Other upcoming events include a meeting at 5 p.m. Sept. 7 at Meeder’s Restaurant in Ripley; the state conference in Syracuse from Sept. 21-24; a joint meeting with the Bosworth DAR chapter Oct. 7 in Dunkirk; and DAR National Day of Service on Oct. 15 to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Bemus Point School Board Meets Monday

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point School Board will meet Monday, Aug. 14, in the cafeteria at Maple Grove Middle-High School, 3980 Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. A public hearing will begin at 5:15 p.m., followed by an executive session at 5:30 p.m. and the regular meeting at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
