Road Work Begins Today

CLYMER –Construction crews will begin rehabilitating Clymer Hill Road, County Route 19, today with work ongoing until finished. The road will not be closed during construction, however, lane closures are expected. Flaggers and signs will be posted between 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. A detour will not be posted. Drivers should take an alternate route if possible.

Jamestown Board Of Education To Meet

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the board room in the Administration Building at 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

Sewer District Meeting Rescheduled

The Administrative Board of the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer District’s previously scheduled meeting on Tuesday has been rescheduled to noon Monday, Aug. 14, at the  Water Pollution Control Facility in Celoron. Falconer Village Board To meet August 14

FALCONER — The Falconer Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, in the fire exempts hall, 3 Coleson Dr. The public is welcome to attend.

Walk 4 Paws Event Returns September 16

The Chautauqua County Humane Society has announced the return of Walk 4 Paws on Sept. 16 at Panzarella Island Park in Jamestown. Registration will start at 10 a.m. and the walk will begin at 11 a.m. Registration can be completed at Chqhumane.org at a cost of $25 per person and includes a pet bandana and one ticket to participate in each of the organization’s newly added activities. There will be a recognition at the walk for the top fundraisers. Activities at Walk 4 Paws include an art station for pets to create their own masterpiece, a photo booth with local professional photographers, a scavenger hunt, and the scenic walk along the Chadakoin River.

Quilt Show To Be Held On September 9

WESTFIELD ä The â30 Years of Love and Warmth Quilt Showã by the Westfield Quiltersás Guild will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 9 at the First Presbyterian Church, 49 S. Portage St., Westfield. The $5 admission fee includes two tickets for the quilt giveaway. The show will feature a special exhibition of antique and modern quilts dating back decades.
