Quilt Show Has Been Canceled
SINCLAIRVILLE — The quilt show scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday at the Valley Historical Society Museum in Sinclairville has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. It will be rescheduled in late September or early October.
Final Fenton Walking Tour
Of Season To
Be Held On
Saturday
The final Fenton walking tour of the season will be held Saturday. It is a tour of four local churches: Holy Trinity, Pilgrim Memorial, St. James, and Kidder Memorial. Those attending are asked to meet at the Fenton mansion by 9:45 a.m. Those attending will drdive from church to church, where they will learn a brief history of the church followed by a tour. The cost is $5 for members $10 for non-members. Register online, by calling 716-664-6256, or in-person in the Fenton History Center.
Walk Planned At Cassadaga Lakes Nature Park
CASSADAGA — On Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, staff from the Western New York Partnership for Regional Invasive Species (WNY PRISM) and Twan Leenders, Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy’s director of conservation, will hold a leisurely walk of the Cassadaga Lakes Nature Park on Route 60 in Cassadaga. During the tour of the preserve, attendees will learn about the differences between native and invasive species, why invasives are problematic, how to prevent the spread of invasives, and how to manage those already in the area. The walk is free and open to the public. Registrations are requested and can be made at wnyprism.org or chautauquawatershed.org.

BBQ Dinner Scheduled
For Sunday
ILS Veterans Club volunteers will continue to prepare its signature chicken barbecue Sunday, Aug. 6, and every Sunday throughout the remainder of the month. The club is located next to Arby’s on Fluvanna Avenue in Jamestown. Dinners are served starting at noon until sold out. Dinners will include a half chicken, applesauce and a roll. Sides include a choice of roasted potatoes, macaroni salad, or baked beans. The cost for a full dinner is $14; chicken-only is $10.
Vacation Bible School Set For August 7-11
KENNEDY — The Clark’s Corners Community Church, 1 Gospel Lane, Kennedy, will host its vacation Bible school, Twists & Turns, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 7-11. Town Board To Meet August 7
The Cherry Creek Town Board will meet at 7 p.m. Aug. 7 to review the Environmental Assessment form for a project to take place in the town and to take action under the state Environmental Quality Review Act. The public is welcome to attend.
