Eager 2 Run Club To Host 5K Walk/Run Event On Sunday

July 30

The Eager 2 Run Club is hosting a 5K walk/run event on Sunday, July 30, in Lakewood. The event will start and end at Packard Field. Each participant that pre-registers by July 16 will receive an Eager 2 Run Lakewood t-shirt, an event medal and pre/post event fuel. The proceeds of this event will benefit the cross country team of the Maple Grove Red Dragons. As a part of the event, organizers are asking that all participants bring a canned good/pantry item to donate to the St. Susan Center.

Road Work On Route 380 To Be Extended Through Monday

Work on county Route 380, Kimball Stand-Stockton Road, has been extended through Monday. The road isn’t closed, with lane closures expected between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Drivers can plan on taking alternative routes.

Women’s Club To Host Concert On Wednesday

The Allen Park Women’s Club will feature Norm’s Famous Korv burgers at Wednesday’s concert at 7 p.m. at the Allen Park Bandshell. Club members will celebrate Jamestown’s rich Italian and Scandinavian heritage with a selection of Italian and Scandanavian music while serving Norm’s Famous Korv Burgers, hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream treats, water and the club’s homemade fudge. Be sure to come early to grab a good seat or bring a own lawn chair or blanket for seating.

Concert Features Ion Sky This Wednesday

CELORON — Celoron’s July concert series begins Wednesday with Ion Sky the featured act. Concerts are held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at Lucille Ball Memorial Park. Upcoming acts include the Kokomo Time Band on July 19 and Adam, Matt and Steve from The Probables on July 26.

Frewsburg School Board Meets Thursday

FREWSBURG — The Frewsburg Central School Board will hold its regular meeting and organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 13, in the middle-high school multi-purpose room. PANAMA — The Panama Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the board room. The meeting is the board’s annual reorganizational meeting. The meeting is open to the public.
