Sons Of The American Revolution Meeting Canceled

The Sons of the American Revolution meeting scheduled for Saturday has been canceled. The next meeting will be held on Aug. 12.

Outdoor Club to Bike On Sunday

WARREN, Pa. — Members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will be riding bikes Sunday on the McClintock bike trail. The group will meet at Musante Street at 1 p.m. in Warren or at the trail head on Waitz Road, Rousville, McClintock Well No. 1 at 2 p.m. Earl Ross will lead the ride and can be reached at 814-726-3920 or 814-706-1198.

FALCONER — The Falconer Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, July 10, in the Fire Exempts Hall, 3 Coleson Dr., Falconer. A work session will be held prior to the meeting at 5:30 p.m.

Patterson Library Book Sale Starts July 13

WESTFIELD — Patterson Library, 40 S. Portage St., Westfield, will hold its annual book sale from Thursday, July 13, to Saturday, July 15, during regular library operating hours. Girl Scouts To Hold Flag Retirement Ceremony

The Girl Scouts of Western New York will be holding a flag retirement ceremony at Camp Horton Hill on Friday, July 14, as part of its day camp activities and are requesting the donation of worn flags to be disposed of in a dignified ceremony honoring the flag. Flags can be dropped off at the Jamestown Service Center donation box at 2661 Horton Hill, Jamestown, before July 14.

Clymer Historical Society Meets July 17

CLYMER — The Clymer Area Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting at the Haverkamp House on Monday, July 17. The members meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. followed at 7 p.m. with a presentation titled, “The Amish Come to Clymer.” Daniel and Amanda Byler with Walter and Clara Troyer will discuss the reasons why, beginning in the late 1970s, the Amish came to Clymer and have since become an integral part of the community. All are welcome and refreshments will be served.

County Health Board To Gather July 20

MAYVILLE –The Chautauqua County Board of Health will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 20, in the HRC Building, fourth floor conference room, 7 N. Erie St., Mayville. Comments received from the public will be accepted as communications, and not read during privilege of the floor. Public comments at the meetings during the privilege of the floor must be made in person.
