West Oak Hill Road is now open after a road construction project undertaken recently by the county Public Facilities Department.

School Board To Meet Tuesday

A Special Meeting of the Jamestown Board of Education will take place on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Board Room of the Administration Building, 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.

Genealogical Society Meets Wednesday

CASSADAGA — Speakers for the Chautauqua County Genealogical Society meeting on Wednesday will be Karen Livsey and Sam Genco. They will present their program on Chautauqua Obscura. It consists mainly of stories about little-known, but very interesting people and events in county history.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the speakers at 7 in Cassadaga American Legion Post 1280, 228 Maple Ave. Meetings are open to the public.

Social Set For

Wednesday On Cassadaga Beach

CASSADAGA — The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga invite all to the annual Strawberry Social to be held on Wednesday, June 21, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.. Strawberry shortcake will be offered for free. Donations will be gratefully accepted. The Cassadaga Area Concert Band will be performing concert, patriotic, pop and show tunes. Local berries and great music are a treat you won’t want to miss. This event will take place at Cassadaga Beach on Park Avenue. There are picnic tables and some chairs, but please bring your own chair to ensure a seat. Parking is limited at the beach. Jazz Big Band

To Perform

On Wednesday, June 21, Pearl City Jazz big band, under the direction of Razz Rasmusson, will perform a free concert at the Allen Park Bandshell from 7-9 p.m. A variety of classic and newer big band tunes will leave the audience tapping their feet. Vocalist Tyler Stimson will appear, and The Allen Park Ladies Club will provide refreshments at the top of the hill.
